Objectives:

The course AZ104 Microsoft™ Azure Administrator provides the following knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge of on-premises virtualization technologies, including: VMs, virtual networks and virtual hard disks
  • Knowledge of network configuration, including TCP/IP, DNS (Domain Name System), VPNs (virtual private networks), firewalls and encryption technologies
  • Understanding of Active Directory concepts, including users, groups and role-based access control
  • Understanding of resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and restore operations

This training prepares for the exam AZ-104: Microsoft™ Azure Administrator. The exam must always be taken separately at a Pearson VUE test center or online. Upon successful completion you will receive the certification Microsoft™ Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.

Target audience:

The training AZ104 Microsoft™ Azure Administrator is designed for Azure Administrators. An Azure Administrator implements, manages and monitors identity, governance, storage, compute and virtual networks in a cloud environment. They perform provisioning, scaling, monitoring and adjustment of resources as required. Successful Azure Administrators start this role with experience in virtualization, networking, identity and storage.
Furthermore, the course is targeted at:

  • Active Directory Administrators who plan the transition to Azure or want to extend their on-premises infrastructure to the cloud
  • IT Professionals with basic knowledge in Azure and cloud technologies who want to deepen their administrative skills in Azure
  • IT Professionals whose focus areas are configuration, management and monitoring of Azure services in their professional environment

Prerequisites:

For successful participation in the course AZ104 Microsoft™ Azure Administrator we recommend the following prerequisites:
