Objectives:

In the course HF100 Non-Technical Skills & Human Factors participants do not sit passively in the seminar room. They plan real missions, carry them out under time and decision pressure, and evaluate their results directly themselves. This way, the most important aha moments emerge where they belong: with the people who act.

This is how we proceed: In Interpersonal Skills LAB, 1–4 teams (each with 2–6 people) work under realistic conditions (information overload, time and decision pressure) on standardised missions. In each team, one person can take the lead, the other people act operationally. This makes individual behaviour and its impact on the team directly visible.

Establish situational awareness in a structured way (FOR-DEC)
Get everyone on board: how to conduct briefings and debriefings successfully

The workshop is facilitated by Prof. Dr. Andreas Becker, an expert with extensive experience as trainer, consultant and executive across various industries including aviation and critical infrastructure.

In all enterprises, far-reaching decisions must be made daily. Information overload, distributed knowledge, time pressure, multitasking and limited communication channels create error-prone conditions. To be successful in this context and to avoid wrong decisions, training of specific competencies is required that have been developed and enhanced over decades in various industries where safe operations by individual employees and teams have particularly high priority.
