IT-Board: News from Business Continuity Management (BCM)
Events 2007
The publication of the second part of the BS25999 standard on Business Continuity Management (BCM) aims to proactively secure critical business processes to remain operationally capable in hazardous situations or even crises. Early engagement with this topic and subsequent implementation of the strategy in practice ensures more transparency in the company, helps limit risks, and makes processes more efficient. It is necessary to comply with contractual and legal requirements such as Basel II, KonTraG, or SOX.
A few days ago, Part 2 of the BS25999 standard was released. For qSkills™, this is a welcome opportunity to present this framework and its implications at our next IT board. The focus will be on questions like:
What are the benefits?
What does BCM mean for a company and its employees?
How do these processes impact daily operations and performance?
How can an effective BCM be implemented without unduly restricting core business processes?
We will shed light on the following aspects:
Basic idea, structure, and content of the new standard
Speaker: Arnt Sandler, BSi (Management Systems)BCM as a value chain - Practical experiences, a case study
Speaker: Uwe Rühl, MSC Rühl Consulting
When: Thursday, November 29, 2007, 5:00 PM
Where: Conference Center of qSkills™ GmbH & Co. KG, Süd-West-Park 65, 90449 Nuremberg.
We would be delighted to welcome you to an informative discussion session.
