qSkills™ receives ATO accreditation for ISACA™ Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM)
News 2026
qSkills™ is now officially accredited as an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the certification ISACA™ Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM). This expands qSkills™'s accredited ISACA™ training portfolio with a certification that specifically addresses security requirements for the use of artificial intelligence in enterprises. With the AAISM accreditation by APMG International, qSkills™ underscores its commitment to providing practice-oriented further education that combines established quality standards with current requirements in IT security and AI.
AI is changing the requirements for IT security
Artificial intelligence opens up new opportunities for enterprises – at the same time, new attack surfaces, risks, and requirements for governance and security emerge. AI systems present unique challenges: from data quality and data protection to model training and validation, as well as AI-specific threats, supply chains, and secure integration into existing enterprise environments.
This is precisely where the ISACA™ Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM) certification comes into play. It targets experienced security professionals and imparts the skills to systematically assess AI-related security risks, establish appropriate controls, and manage AI security programs at the organizational level. ISACA™ structures the content into three central areas: AI governance and program management, AI risk management, and AI technologies and controls.
Three central areas for secure AI use
As part of the AAISM preparation at qSkills™, the following topics are covered, among others:
1. AI Governance and Program Management
Stakeholders, industry frameworks, and regulatory requirements
Development of AI strategies, policies, and procedures
AI asset and data lifecycle management
Establishment and management of AI security programs
Business continuity and incident response
2. AI Risk Management
Identification and assessment of AI-specific risks
Risk thresholds and measures for risk treatment
AI-related strategies and security policies
Management of AI suppliers and supply chains
3. AI Technologies and Controls
Security architecture and secure design for AI systems
Security aspects of the AI lifecycle – from model selection and training to validation
Data management and corresponding security controls
Data protection, ethics, trust & safety
Security controls and monitoring
This way, the SC225 training combines established security management practices with the unique requirements of modern AI systems.
Two-day preparation for the AAISM certification
With the SC225: ISACA™ Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM) Preparation, qSkills™ offers a 2-day preparation course. The goal is to systematically prepare participants for the content of the AAISM certification exam while providing a robust understanding of the practical implementation of AI security in enterprises. Upon completion of the training, participants can, among other things, classify and apply AI governance and risk management methods, assess security implications along the AI lifecycle, and consider ethical, data protection-related, and security-relevant aspects in AI deployments.
The AAISM exam is optional and not included in the course fee. It is taken separately via ISACA™ or PSI. A prerequisite for the AAISM certification is, among other things, an active CISM or CISSP certification.
First dates from December 2026
The new qSkills™ preparation course will start for the first time on December 7 and 8, 2026, in Nuremberg. Further dates have already been published:
December 7–8, 2026 – Nuremberg, Hybrid
March 1–2, 2027 – Nuremberg, Hybrid
June 14–15, 2027 – Online
October 7–8, 2027 – Nuremberg, Hybrid
December 6–7, 2027 – Nuremberg, Hybrid
AI security requires more than technical know-how
With the AAISM accreditation, qSkills™ is consistently expanding its offering for security and AI managers. The more AI is integrated into business processes and IT infrastructures, the more important it becomes to not only use AI but also to manage it securely, assess risks, and establish appropriate protective measures. With the accredited AAISM training, qSkills™ provides structured preparation for an internationally oriented certification – practical, compact, and with a focus on connecting AI, security, governance, and risk management.
