Focus on Information Security! The motto of the qSkills™ Security Summit 2008 and at the same time one of the challenges for companies and organizations across all industries. Leading analysts, such as Gartner, consider information security as one of the top future topics. The topic is already a focus for many decision-makers. However, companies often struggle to find the right strategy in developing suitable and forward-thinking security concepts.
Security Congress Offers Solutions and Highlights Trends
In dealing with information security, strategic and internal organizational aspects play a crucial role. Security experts view the topic as a company-wide task. "Anyone using information technology must also make information security a fixed part of their IT strategy. Information security is a cross-cutting issue that runs through all organizational and technical areas of a company," says Stephan Rostmann, Senior IT Security Consultant, Head of Security Audits at SIZ Informatikzentrum der Sparkassen-Organisation GmbH. And Uwe Rühl, Managing Director of Rühl Consulting and Trainer at qSkills™, adds: "From the perspective of companies and organizations, this issue should always be considered within the framework of the entire information security management, based on the different requirements in everyday business."
In line with this, the Security Summit revolves around 20 expert presentations by renowned representatives from business and research on the central questions: How can organizations deal with data security? What options exist in the fight against security gaps? And with what strategy can security risks be measured, minimized, or even avoided?
Security Summit Partner Companies: Security Solutions par excellence
On the occasion of the qSkills™ Security Summit, numerous qSkills™ partners present their strategic management approaches and security solutions. For example, the consulting firm KPMG with the effectiveness measurement of information security or the IT partner Novell with the area of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). In addition, there are numerous topics on strategic-technical security solutions, including from TÜV Rheinland, Riverbed, or it-function. "With our range of management topics and technologically oriented solution approaches, we offer an interesting mix of effective security concepts for dealing with today's and tomorrow's information security," says Kurt-Jürgen Jacobs, Managing Director of qSkills™, convinced by the concept of the Security Summit. A parallel exhibition featuring best practice solutions completes the event.
