The eID (electronic identity) in the new ID card in practical test

Since November 1, 2010, only the new identity card in credit card format has been issued. To also identify oneself online, the new ID card has the function of electronic identity (eID). The IHK and the Nuremberg Initiative for Communication Economy (NIK) offer the information event "Mit Sicherheit ein gutes Geschäft: Die eID im neuen Personalausweis im Praxistest" on Thursday, February 3, 2011, 4:00 p.m. The Fraunhofer™ Application Center in Berlin will report on the organizational and technical requirements for using the new functions. Datev and HUK will explain their initial experiences as pilot users.
