Agenda:
- Talk: EventBridge & Serverless in Production
- After the announcement of the important application integration feature EventBridge Pipes at the last re:Invent, we began evaluating this service and quickly integrated it into our event-driven Data Lake/Warehouse applications. We immediately recognized the advantages that came from reducing "glue" Lambda functions in favor of configuration-based filtering, transforming, and transporting of data. The remaining functions were pure compute Lambdas, which enabled us to serve the "hot data path" significantly faster.
- In this talk, I will demonstrate how such a refactoring is done and provide an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of this solution, especially in the context of a multi-account staging concept.
