This training prepares for the exam AZ-140: Configuring and Operating Microsoft™ Azure Virtual Desktop. The exam must always be taken separately at a Pearson VUE test center or online. Upon successful completion you will receive the Microsoft™ Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty certification.

Prerequisites:

Workshop participants should understand on-premises virtual desktop infrastructure technologies in preparation for migration to Azure Virtual Desktop. It is also expected that they have already used common Azure environment tools, such as Azure PowerShell and Cloud Shell.

In the course AZ140 Configuring and Operating Microsoft™ Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure administrators learn how to plan, deploy, and manage virtual desktop environments and remote applications for any devices on Azure. The learning modules include implementing and managing networking for Azure Virtual Desktop, configuring host pools and session hosts, creating session host images, implementing and managing FSLogix, monitoring Azure Virtual Desktop performance and health, and automating Azure Virtual Desktop management tasks.

Through a mix of demonstrations and hands-on labs, participants learn how to deploy virtual desktop environments and applications in Azure Virtual Desktop and optimize them for running in multi-session virtual environments.
